Scholarship Overview
The McCall MacBain Scholarship is a comprehensive, full graduate scholarship program offered at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. This initiative brings together an exceptional cohort of scholars who demonstrate leadership potential, entrepreneurial character, and a deep commitment to the community. Up to 30 full scholarships and 100 Entrance Awards are granted annually for the Fall intake.
Financial Support & Award Types
Full Scholarships (Up to 30 available):
- Full Tuition and mandatory institutional fees coverage.
- A comprehensive living stipend paid monthly.
- Return travel/airfare tickets to and from Canada for students arriving from abroad.
Entrance Awards (Up to 100 available):
- Financial grants ranging from $5,000 to $20,000 to assist with initial registration costs.
Eligible Degree Programs
Applicants can apply to any of the following fields of study for the Fall 2027 academic term:
- Master’s Degrees: MA, MArch, MATL, MBA, MEd, MEng, MISt, MM, MMus, MPP, MSc, MScA, MScAPT, MScAOT, MSW, MUP, LLM, STM.
- Second-Entry Professional Undergraduate Degrees: BCL/JD (Law), DMD (Dentistry), MDCM (Medicine).
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the 2027 cohort, candidates must meet at least one of the following timelines:
- You are a current student on track to earn your Undergraduate degree by August 2027.
- You earned your first bachelor's degree within the last five years (since 2021).
- You earned your first bachelor's degree more than five years ago and are aged 30 years or younger in 2026.
Note: Selected scholars must also separately fulfill the specific academic admission and language prerequisites of their chosen department at McGill University.
English Language Proficiency Requirements
If your primary language is not English or your prior degree was not taken in an English-speaking institution, you must supply test scores:
- TOEFL (iBT): Overall score of 86 (minimum of 20 in each component).
- IELTS Academic: A minimum overall band score of 6.5.
Application Procedure
- Apply for the Scholarship First: Complete and submit the online McCall MacBain application platform before the corresponding global or regional deadlines.
- Apply to McGill University: Submit a separate application directly to the matching department at McGill University during the October 2026 application cycle.
