The Max Planck Summer Internship Program is a prestigious and highly competitive opportunity for motivated university students to engage in cutting-edge research. Hosted at one of Europe's premier scientific institutions in Munich, this 10-week program allows students to work directly in top-tier laboratories. The research areas primarily focus on biochemistry, neurobiology, structural biology, biophysics, and computational biology.
This internship is completely fully funded, ensuring that students from all financial backgrounds can participate. If selected, you will receive a monthly stipend of approximately 820 Euros to comfortably cover your daily meals and personal expenses. Furthermore, the program provides free, pre-arranged student accommodation in Munich for the entire duration of your stay. The institute will also reimburse your round-trip international flight costs. Beyond the lab work, interns participate in scientific lectures, career development workshops, and social excursions across Bavaria.
To be eligible for this program, you must be a currently enrolled university student. Highly qualified Bachelor and Master students from any country are welcome to apply. If you are a Bachelor student, you must have completed at least four semesters of your degree before the internship begins. You must demonstrate a strong academic record and a deep interest in scientific research.
